ABOUT THE PRACTICE
With 20+ years of experience, Dr. Ashraf is a graduate of studies in Adult Psychoanalysis, and board certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, and Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry. She utilizes psychotherapy from a variety of modalities, including psychoanalytic thinking.
She is a Houston native and trained at the McGovern Medical School and Emory School of Medicine. She has worked in the Houston hospitals such as Harris County Psychiatric Center, Memorial Hermann Children's, and Menninger Clinic and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine.
Her practice is accepting new patients.
Amelia is from Monterrey, Mexico, and has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.
She provides administrative strategy and support to the practice and can be contacted with questions from prospective and current patients.
Amelia is excited to be a part of the practice and foster her interest in mental health. She loves cooking, dancing, watching medical TV shows, and enjoys quiet evenings with her husband and son.
The practice offers psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and medication management. We are happy to collaborate with your current mental health providers. Also, you may be referred to Dr. Ashraf by another provider for a second opinion.
Dr. Ashraf offers sessions in person and via telehealth for residents of Texas. She prefers meeting initially in the office with new adult patients and prefers seeing all children/adolescent sessions in person.

Free 2-hour visitor parking is available on the first floor of the parking garage.
